Included as standard
Whether you choose a pre-made filming package or receive a custom production quote, the job is approached as a piece of business content — not simply a shoot.
I can advise on set, spot opportunities, help steer interviews and make practical production decisions as the day unfolds. You are not expected to arrive with every detail worked out.
Before filming, I review the brief, communications and intended use of the content so I understand what we are actually trying to achieve — not just what needs to be filmed.
For edited projects, I familiarise myself with your brand and apply the relevant visual language to the content, including logos, colours, fonts and supplied brand guidelines.
Where raw footage is included, it is supplied neatly organised and processed for practical use, with footage prepared and optimised for straightforward web and content workflows.
Standard Sydney travel and parking expenses are included in my pre-made packages and custom quotes. The price you approve is designed to be the price you can plan around.
You deal directly with the person responsible for the production, from the first brief through filming and post-production. That keeps decisions quick and avoids information getting lost between departments.

Why Matt
You will not be handed from sales to production. Matt helps shape the approach, films the project and manages post-production, bringing in additional crew only when the brief requires it.
How it works
Send the date, location, objective, intended deliverables and any budget guidance.
Matt suggests the most efficient filming and editing approach, with a clear quote.
Professional video, sound and lighting are handled on location with minimal disruption.
You receive the first edit within the agreed timeframe, with revisions and final delivery managed directly.

FAQ
The practical stuff that usually comes up before a shoot — pricing, footage, crew, equipment, deliverables and how the production actually works.
As a general guide, the average cost of hiring a corporate videographer in Sydney for a half-day shoot is around AU$1,000.
From there, the total cost depends on the production requirements — how much camera, lighting and audio equipment is involved, whether pre-production is required, and how much post-production and editing is needed.
For a practical example, one of my most popular services is a half-day corporate shoot followed by editing of a 2–3 minute video and a 30-second cutdown. A typical project like this is around AU$2,500, including the shoot, editing, processed and organised raw footage, revisions, and final videos supplied in the formats you need.
For simpler filming-only jobs, the cost can be considerably lower. For larger productions involving multiple locations, additional crew, extensive pre-production or more complex edits, it can be higher.
If you send me your brief — even if it's still rough — I can usually tell you pretty quickly what level of production and budget you're looking at.
Yes. A lot of clients already have an internal editor, agency or overseas production team and simply need an experienced videographer on the ground in Sydney.
I can take care of the shoot and deliver the footage afterwards without adding editing you don't need.
Yes. Processed raw footage can be supplied after the shoot, neatly organised and prepared for practical use rather than handed over as an unstructured camera dump.
If your editor needs particular formats, separate audio files or another specific handover arrangement, let me know when we plan the shoot.
Please do. You don't need to work out whether the job requires one camera or three, which microphones to use, how many lights are needed or which filming package to choose.
Send me the objective, location, approximate duration and intended deliverables. I'll work out the production requirements and recommend an appropriate setup.
That depends on the job rather than using the same kit for everything. A corporate interview might require multiple 4K cameras, professional audio, lighting and a teleprompter, while an event may need a much lighter roaming setup.
Tell me what you're filming and I'll recommend the setup rather than asking you to choose cameras, microphones and lighting yourself.
Absolutely. This is very common for corporate shoots, testimonials and content days.
The number we can realistically capture depends on the length of each interview, changes of location or setup, how much B-roll is required and how prepared the participants are.
If you tell me roughly how many people you'd like to film, I can help plan a schedule that makes the most of the day.
Yes. Event coverage can range from simple roaming footage through to presentations, interviews, vox pops, sponsor content and edited event highlights.
The important part is knowing what you want to capture. Recording a keynote presentation with clean audio while also covering audience reactions and networking is very different from a simple highlights shoot, so I'll recommend the right setup for the brief.
Often, one experienced videographer is enough.
Two operators become useful when important things are happening simultaneously — for example, recording a keynote continuously while also capturing audience reactions, networking and B-roll elsewhere in the venue.
If one person can cover the brief properly, I won't recommend a larger crew unnecessarily.
Yes. I regularly work with interstate and international agencies, production companies and marketing teams that need an experienced Sydney videographer to execute a shoot locally.
You can provide the creative brief, shot list or production requirements and I can take care of the Sydney end of the production. Interviews can also be directed remotely when required.
That depends on what you've booked. For filming-only projects, this can include processed and organised video footage along with separately recorded audio where applicable.
For full video-production projects, I'll take the footage through post-production and supply the agreed finished videos in the formats required for your website, social media, internal communications or campaign.
If you need vertical versions, captions, separate audio files or footage for another editor, include that in the brief so it can be planned from the beginning.
