VIDEO PRODUCTION NOTES
Auvers Cafe was looking to produce a series of videos, to be published once a month on their social media channels, to introduce their staff and friendliness in view of the opening of their new location in Darling Square.
In this marketing video, the first of the series, the manager at Auvers explain what the cafe name means and what are the core values of the company.
The filming took place in Rhodes NSW, we spent some time in the morning to get the pieces to camera with both the cafe manager and the kitchen manager. These interviews were not scripted, we prepared a draft of the questions and answers but the interview is natural.
In this case, since the talent is not reading from a teleprompter directly into the camera, it was easier for him to face the videographer/interviewer and answer the questions directly to the person, to make him feel more comfortable, with the result being a more conversational style interview and less of a marketing presentation of the business.
Out of the half hour conversation recorded during filming, only a couple of phrases were used in this video, as the client was looking to produce short videos.
For social media use such as Instagram and Facebook, we added captions for easier consumption.
