VIDEO PRODUCTION NOTES
Moretti Restaurant in Leichhardt, Sydney, was looking to produce a 15 second video ad to be used in movie theatres to increase brand awareness and promote their venue among the moviegoers.
At first, the idea they floated was to make a simple ad, showcasing food and ambiance, with some background music. Matt Callian Videography helped developing a different concept, yet very simple, with a voiceover implementation.
Being this an ad that would be displayed in cinemas, the Godfather reference for an italian restaurant is somehow a cliche, but always works.
We quickly developed a script and concept, sent the script to a voice over artist, while the videographer was tasked with capturing the venue’s footage. Some talents were used to tell the story of a group of friends meeting at Moretti’s and enjoying dinner together.
The video was then edited using a custom soundtrack that clearly reminds of the Godfather movie, yet elegant and calming.
The result was widely appreciated by the restaurant’s owner and their marketing agency, and a second longer version was also edited for their website and marketing channels.
