At the close of 2023, Tourism Ireland hosted a two-day event in Sydney, bringing together travel advisors and operators from Australia and New Zealand to showcase Ireland as an essential travel destination. For this project, they required a video production team to manage both filming and post-production, crafting an engaging highlights reel to capture the event’s essence. We were thrilled to step in as their video production partner, delivering a polished, high-quality video that perfectly conveyed the event’s energy and purpose.
Event Scope and Our “Video & Audio” Service
Tourism Ireland reached out with two event dates and a vision: a highlights reel that would not only document the event but also inspire future interest in Irish tourism. After discussing their needs, our Video & Audio service was chosen to capture both visuals and audio.
This setup enabled us to cover dynamic shots of the event itself (b-roll) alongside insightful, impromptu interviews and vox pops with key attendees, adding a personal and testimonial-driven layer to the footage. These a-roll elements provided valuable sound bites and testimonials, helping to enrich the final narrative of the video.
Filming in Sydney
Filming took place over both event days, entirely on-site in Sydney. The production was carefully coordinated to ensure comprehensive coverage, capturing everything from lively networking moments to keynote speakers, interactive sessions, and the genuine reactions of attendees. By incorporating both b-roll and a-roll footage, we crafted a visual story that highlighted not just the scope of the event but also its core purpose and audience engagement.
Post-Production: The Highlights Reel
In the editing phase, we selected the best moments from the event footage, focusing on sound bites from interviews that added context and perspective. This allowed us to create a well-rounded, narrative-driven highlights reel that would resonate with Tourism Ireland’s audience.
To further elevate the production, special attention was given to colour grading and enhancement. We employed a technique that highlighted Tourism Ireland’s brand colours, green and purple, throughout the video, subtly enhancing brand recognition and visual appeal.
