VIDEO PRODUCTION NOTES
The North Sydney Council warmly welcomed the community to an informative session held at the Independent Theatre on Miller Street on February 14, 2024. The purpose of the session was to enhance understanding of proposed changes by the State Government regarding height and density control in the area.
In this video crafted for the North Sydney Council, we approached production with empathy and care. Over a half-day session, the initial two hours were dedicated to setting up at the North Sydney office. We utilized a single high-quality camera focused on Zoe Baker, the Mayor of North Sydney, to convey importance and sincerity in her message. This setup allowed for a direct and intimate connection with the audience. Every detail, from lighting to audio, was thoughtfully arranged to create an atmosphere of empathy and connection. Following the interview, the remainder of the session was spent capturing the essence of the locality and its vibrant lifestyle, adding depth and context to the message and fostering a deeper connection with the community.
During the editing process, our goal was crystal clear: to deliver a clear and engaging announcement for the viewers, ensuring that the community could grasp all the information effectively. The video featured the Mayor’s message and high-quality B-roll footage, carefully selected and arranged to maintain a consistent tone and message throughout, truly empathizing with the message’s goal.
This video was filmed and edited with a tight turnaround of 2 days, enabling the North Sydney Council to publish it on their social media platform in time for the event.
