The Hills Clinic Overview

This video has been produced by Matt Callian Videography for The Hills Clinic, a Mental Health Facility in Kellyville, NSW.

The clinic got in touch with us to organise the production of the video with the scope to be used for trade shows and other marketing activities.

The elements and footage that needed to be included were:

• CEO piece to camera with a script
• Footage of the facilities
• Patients
• Staff
• Activities overview

We filmed this during a half-day shoot at the clinic, where we first met with the CEO for the piece to camera. The script had been finalised prior to the filming day, so once the interview space was ready to go, with lighting and background properly set for filming, it took us only 1 hour to get through the piece to camera.

With a clear plan for the rest of the day, where every activity and b-roll footage was appropriately scheduled for, we ran through the whole shot list provided by the client.

After filming, the editing part took a few days. Being this a densely written script, the spoken words from the CEO would dictate the rhythm of the video, so we had to make sure that for every single passage, we had the necessary b-roll to underline what’s being said.

The music, the edit and the type of cuts are serving the purpose of emphasising the quality of service, while visually describing life in the mental health clinic, from a patient’s point of view.
